Dear Sex Diary
Tomorrow is Valentine's Day. I have mixed feelings about this day. It can be a sad day for the single people out there because love is shoved in their faces all day. It can also put a lot of pressure on the people in a relationship - especially for the guy. Personally, I think if you're going to make it a romantic day, it should be up to BOTH people to make it happen. It's hard not to get your hopes and expectations up and to set yourselves up for disaster. I have learned the more relaxed and flexible you are, the more you will enjoy yourself. I've also learned if you are open about what kind of a day you'd like to share with your significant other and not leave it up to him/her to guess because they "should know you by now", the less chance of the day ending in a fight.
Some feel it's society FORCING you to celebrate your love and spend lots of money. I like to look at it as just another excuse to celebrate ...and there should be no rules. Even no rules about the actual day the celebration happens.
Anyway, now that I have things all figured out how my romantic night could be perfect with my boyfriend, I'll come back down to reality where I don't have one and ....hmm.....well .....watch a little adult entertainment instead!
While you lovebirds are displaying your affection in public, I'd much rather be WATCHING people.
